Hi there! I’m Aaron, a final-year PhD student in Organic Chemistry at the University of Bath. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve been fortunate to both study and teach this captivating subject. To me, Chemistry is the ultimate toolbox—empowering us to drive progress in medicine, renewable energy, and even unravel the mysteries of the universe. I hold a grade A in A-level Maths and Chemistry, as well as a first-class degree in Chemistry. With extensive experience tutoring GCSE, A-level, and undergraduate students, I’m committed to tailoring each student’s learning journey to their unique needs and learning style.

My approach begins by assessing a student’s current understanding of a topic to identify their strengths and areas for improvement. From there, I focus on building strong foundations and guiding them through the most effective path to mastering the concept. I believe in breaking down challenging topics into their simplest components, making them easier to understand, remember, and apply.

Rather than relying on rote memorization, I prioritize interactive learning. Whether it’s using visual metaphors, adapting a chalk-and-talk style, or encouraging active discussions, I aim to boost confidence and make learning engaging. Exam preparation is a key focus of my approach, as I understand the stress exams can bring. We’ll work through tailored practice questions, with a focus on exam techniques and strategies to ensure success. I primarily use resources aligned with the AQA exam board but am happy to research specific boards to provide personalized support for each student’s needs.
