I am a medical student at the University of Nottingham with 4 years of tutoring experience. I am experienced in providing an engaging, interactive and highly educational experience. Being an enthusiastic tutor with an approachable nature who genuinely loves teaching and observing students’ progress first hand, I regularly see students develop confidence and their love for learning. I am familiar with the new specifications for GCSE maths and sciences, having sat the new specification exams myself and know that they are much more rigorous with a lot of new content. I achieved grade 9s in maths and all three sciences and wish to share my knowledge with students in order to aid their progress. Throughout the years I continuously monitored my past students’ learning and progress to identify those who were not achieving their targets and developed strategies such as regularly checking up on those who had not performed well. I do mini tests regularly to ensure I can highlight strengths and weaknesses in specific topics and adapt my lessons to cater towards these weaknesses. I believe confidence is key to your learning and we often learn best when comfortable with having a go and not being afraid to make mistakes, which I ensure my students are comfortable with doing so. Additionally, I have tutored for other online platforms in the past so have experience of both online and in-person teaching.

I have an abundant supply of teaching materials for GCSE Mathematics and Sciences for all exam boards, including numerous exam questions, which I regularly use in my lessons.

I have learnt numerous strategies of teaching which I make specific to each student's learning style in order to maximise their learning. 

What I lack in degree qualifications, being relatively young myself, I certainly make up for in possessing the right qualities to achieve the maximum potential of the student. Being determined, patient and possessing an excellent work ethic are the strengths that have helped me through challenging moments throughout my exams and university. I am capable, clear and concise in delivering lessons, proven by great results with students in the past 4 years.
