I am a highly experienced school teacher and private tutor, with a strong track record of supporting students to pass exams and to improve their academic attainment at school.

Trained and experienced in Primary, Secondary and Adult education, I have successfully taught learners of all ages through formal KS1 and KS2 in Primary Schools, and secondary students from KS3-5. This includes successfully preparing students for GCSE English Language, Literature and GCSE History.

In particular, I have successfully tutored students to pass the 11+ exams for grammar schools in the London and Home Counties area, as well as the Common Entrance exams for many of the prestigious independent schools. My expertise includes English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Additionally, I am experienced in teaching students of English as a Foreign Language, including the IELTS for academic purposes, and general and business English Language skills.

Providing support for students with Special Educational Needs is another area in which I am experienced.

My lessons are well structured, with an understanding of how to engage and motivate students, and to adapt the teaching to the individual's particular needs.

I am also experienced in preparation for English exams for speakers of other languages - IELTS/Cambridge English language exams.
