Hi there, My name is Luke. I am currently working as a mathematics mentor at the Westminster Academy school. I hold a QTS certificate and I am participating in the National Tutoring programme as an academic mentor.

My work requires me to work side by side with the classroom teachers. I worked with year 7, 8, 9,10 and 11. I provided support for KS3 and 4, kept tracking and reporting the progress of learning from the students that I worked with; Helped them to build confidence and motivation in GCSE mathematics learning. Students have overall greatly improved their result in assessment on topics in Mathematics and get higher grade. Personally, I like to help people with learning and learning from others.

In addition, I graduated with a biomedical science degree and can support people who need Science learning. During university studying, I took my spare time teaching Mandarin (Chinese language) in a weekend language school.

Moreover, I organised a summer camp with others during the summer holiday for those who want to learn Art and language. I love to teach people about Mandarin and Chinese culture. These experiences and training have really helped me to develop my skills and knowledge in teaching. Lessons will begin with a brief assessment to determine target areas then personalised lessons to ensure areas of weakness become strengths. Maths GCSE all exam boards Biology/physics GCSE module specific help if required. Mandarin language learning 11+ tutoring also available.
