Empathetic English and History Tutor

 

I am a graduate of the University of East Anglia, with a BA (1st class) in English Literature and an M.A. in Creative Writing. I've been teaching English Literature and Creative Writing at an FE College and as a private consultant for 23 years. For the last 7 years I've been a personal tutor in English and History from KS2 to Degree level, with 1497 hours taught. I believe in the potential of every student and seek to bring it out through an empathetic, patient and holistic approach. I have taught students with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds, including those with conditions on the autistic spectrum. I believe it is important to get to know the student as an individual and to tailor learning to their strengths as well as tackle their academic weaknesses
