I'm Abi, an experienced teacher and tutor. I have spent 20 years in Education, and taught in the UK and New Zealand. My training was originally in KS2 and KS3, but I have experience teaching KS1-KS3. I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2003 with a B.Ed (hons) in Education and Music. During my 8 years at a Cambridge school I was KS2 Leader and Literacy Leader - together with my team we achieved academic results that were consistently above the national average. I love to learn and have recently undertaken a number of Level 2 qualifications including Neuroscience in the Early Years and Equality and Diversity. I am a confidence builder and believe any child can achieve with carefully nurturing and time.

The majority of my time available is during school hours, which would be perfect for home educating families. I also have a few after school (4.15pm) slots on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, plus slots on Monday 6pm and Wednesday 6.15pm. 

My safeguarding training is up to date - I participated in in-person training with Clark Ward Associates in November 2023. I am happy to share with you my enhanced DBS certificate and qualification certificates, if necessary.
