Hi!
My name is Ben, I am a Teaching Fellow at the University of Portsmouth, I have just completed an MRes in Psychology using neuroscientific methods to explore anxiety disorders. I will be beginning a PhD in this topic next year, also.
I have taught cohorts of over 300, and have equal experience in teaching smaller groups at seminars and individual teaching sessions. I have taught neurodiverse students and have experience in teaching and supporting students with additional teaching requirements, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism and ADHD.
I also completed an A-Level in psychology, where my first love of psychology began! I have knowledge of AQA, Edexcel and OCR specifications.
Any lessons come with a comprehensive plan, based on your needs, wants and requirements for your learning style, course content and current knowledge level. I am very transparent and will happily undertake additional research and revising to any customised requests or additional requirements.
I provide small assessments of various formats throughout, to solidly reinforce learning and encourage positive feedback with an understanding of content and its applications. These have proved very effective with my previous students and are something I continually encourage within lessons.
