I recently graduated in a 2:1 in English (BA) at Loughborough university and have been tutoring for 3 years. For the past year I have tutored online for schools as part of the National Tutoring programme, supporting students who were struggling due to the pandemic. Before this I tutored privately for a year, and spent a year working for a charity who provided tutoring in local secondary schools.

In my tutoring lessons I adapt my teaching to students likes and interests to engage them in our work, using short videos or games to bring learning to life. For example, I have used D&D with a student who liked Stranger Things to teach creative writing skills and videos of Shakespeare to help students understand the language.
