Hello, nice to meet you! I'm Jon, a Spanish born Economics graduate from the University of Glasgow and look forward to being your tutor!

I'm a successful tutor with a significant amount of experience tutoring, both online and in person. When I was studying for my A Level exams I tutored a KS3 and then IGCSE student in Maths for 2 years. It was a very rewarding experience; I had a significant impact on this student's grades and attitude towards Maths as a subject and helped them get the confidence they needed to get back on track when they struggled in class.

I believe in a tutoring style centred around efficient learning. Efficient learning concerns itself with understanding a student's problems/questions and tackling the areas they find most challenging. More importantly, I put a focus on making the student understand the thought process to solve the questions they struggle with. I find this tutoring style much more beneficial for the students; it gives them the confidence and the knowledge to solve similar problems in class they would otherwise find challenging. Similarly, when I'm revising topics with a student I like to focus on where they went wrong or are unsure of how to come to the correct solution, and spend less time going over what they're already doing right.

I find this tutoring style very effective and the one that brings most value to students in tutoring sessions.
