About myself:

I am passionate about teaching Computer Science and have high expectations for learning and ensure all students achieve their full potential.  I teach students with different abilities and learning needs, including students who are gifted and talented.

Tutoring experience:

I am a qualified and experienced Computer science Teacher and have a BSc Honours in Computing and 13 years’ experience in the IT industry (Developing and designing Databases systems). My teaching experience includes developing the curriculum and teaching Computer Science to (KS3, KS4 and KS5) students from diverse backgrounds at an outstanding Academy and prestigious Independent school.

Some of the topics I have taught include:

Web Design, HTML, Python Programming, Mobile Application Design, Animation, Data Modelling and Algorithm design.

Approach to tutoring:

I make my lessons fun and engaging and design interactive lessons in which all abilities can participate and enjoy. I also use online collaborative tools to enhance learning and give feedback to students and parents regarding progress.

I teach all topic areas covered in the GCSE and Alevel curriculum for exam boards AQA and OCR.  Lessons can be provided 1:1 or in small groups.
